XM50 - The Loft

105.5 miles
3 hours

I have always loved The Loft. It is a great station. Mellow, acoustic, singer-songwriters, old stuff, new stuff. The day started off with several of my favorite performers -- Shawn Colvin, Loudon Wainwright II, The Beatles, etc. I actually heard a bunch of stuff I don't know. It was quite a great mix. Los Lobos, The Beatles (Run for Your Life from the Rubber Soul album), Josh rouse, Crazy Horse (is that Neil Young's Crazy Horse), Pink Floyd (Wish You Were Here -- loved, loved, loved it). A fabulous mix of music.

While listening, I realized that XM no longer plays the XM notes in the style of the station. I miss that. I really got a kick out of it during the country stations.

I did a lot of driving today. Steve was gone so I started off driving to the train station. I ended the day by driving up to Bak for Molly's ITS Showcase which was fantastic. We really enjoyed it. The kids are so talented. It is very nice to see how they have grown over the last 3 years.

GREAT RADIO DAY !!!!
